FIFA has imposed a worldwide ban on a former official of Austrian club SCR Altach, convicted of secretly filming female players, including minors, between 2018 and 2025. Austrian authorities discovered the footage as part of a separate child pornography investigation. The court sentenced him to seven months in prison, suspended for three years, along with a fine of 1,200 euros. Fifteen players were formally identified as victims and received 625 euros each in compensation, while investigators believe approximately 30 players were filmed. Austria’s players’ union (VdF) successfully pushed FIFA to extend jurisdiction, closing a gap that would have allowed the individual to resume football activities in another country.
