The European Union has approved a 6.1 billion euro package aimed at bolstering Ukraine’s defense capabilities against Russia. This funding is part of a larger 90 billion euro support loan for Ukraine, intended to reinforce its military efforts. The package focuses on air and missile defense systems, missiles, ammunition, and radars, continuing the EU’s emphasis on countering Russian missile and drone attacks. This approval adds to previous procurement plans worth 16 billion euros and reflects ongoing support from the EU and its member states since the conflict began in 2022.
