Ethereum Price Analysis: ETH Consolidates at $2.5K as Whale Participation Stalls

Share

Ethereum is consolidating around $2,500 after its explosive August breakout, with multiple failed attempts to break above the $2.52K-$2.56K resistance zone. The 4-hour chart shows ETH trapped in a broad range between approximately $2.35K and $2.56K. Whale participation has significantly declined, as order sizes around $2.4K-$2.5K are predominantly normal-sized rather than large-player orders. A breakout above $2.52K-$2.56K would confirm buyers have regained control, while a breakdown below $2.35K-$2.39K could expose a pullback toward $2.22K-$2.27K. The absence of significant whale activity suggests ETH may remain prone to low-conviction, choppy movements within its current range.
