Pascal Caversaccio, ethical hacker known as pcaversaccio, has joined the Ethereum Foundation board of directors for a one-year unpaid term, bringing the total membership to four. As co-founder of the emergency response service SEAL 911, he has helped process over 3,300 cases and recover more than 50 million dollars in assets since late 2023. His appointment comes one month after the foundation announced the elimination of 54 positions and a budget reduction of nearly 40% for 2026. Three independent structures (Ethlabs, Ethereum Institutional and EthSystems), funded by BitMine, SharpLink and Joseph Lubin, are taking over part of the Foundation’s missions. With Caversaccio’s arrival, the Ethereum Foundation places security and privacy at the core of its governing body, as its operational scope narrows.
