Elon Musk Says OpenAI Can’t Be Trusted as Apple Seeks Forensic Oversight

Apple asked a federal judge for a preliminary injunction to place OpenAI under forensic supervision, meaning external investigators could review its internal systems. The tech giant accuses former employees of leaking unreleased hardware plans to OpenAI. The lawsuit also targets io Products, the hardware startup founded by former Apple design chief Jony Ive, which OpenAI acquired for $6.5 billion earlier this year. Elon Musk, who renewed his attacks on OpenAI following the filing, said the company « can’t » be trusted. OpenAI denies any wrongdoing and argues that technical assistance requests came directly from Apple employees themselves.
