ElizaOS founder declares token dead, calls for crypto restart

Shaw Walters, founder of Eliza Labs and architect of the ElizaOS AI agent framework, announced on August 4 that the ELIZAOS token was dead. The project’s treasury was drained by a class-action lawsuit settlement, making it impossible to continue operations. Walters advised holders to sell their tokens, adding that no buyback or foundation support would be provided. The token dropped approximately 19% in a single day, reaching all-time lows. Walters clarified he held no ELIZAOS tokens and that the open-source ElizaOS framework would continue to exist without any associated token.
