Dubai Duty Free has integrated cryptocurrency payments through the Crypto.com Pay gateway in its stores at Dubai airports (DXB and DWC) and on its official website. Shiba Inu (SHIB) is among the 30 cryptocurrencies now accepted, alongside BTC, ETH, XRP and DOGE. This rollout is part of the D33 government strategy aiming to digitize 90% of the emirate’s transactions. Purchases are limited to verified UAE residents, and payments are instantly converted into Emirati dirhams (AED) for merchants. This integration was made possible after Crypto.com received an official license from the Central Bank of the UAE.
