Trump Media launched Truth API, a licensed data feed that delivers posts from key Truth Social accounts to trading firms in milliseconds. The monthly fee can reach $100,000 ($1.2 million annually). On April 9, 2025, a single post from Trump announcing a 90-day pause on many new tariffs sent the S&P 500 9.5% higher and Bitcoin up more than 5%, while crypto traders in short positions lost $374 million. At least five companies have already subscribed to this service aimed at high-frequency and algorithmic trading firms. The business model depends entirely on Trump using Truth Social first, as publishing elsewhere would erase the feed’s speed advantage.
