A small skiff that ran out of fuel off the coast of Alaska issued a distress call through the U.S. Coast Guard last week. Mark Zuckerberg’s yacht, the Launchpad, was nearby but did not respond to the radio call. Another cruise ship, the Wilderness Legacy, ultimately towed the skiff into Farragut Bay and refueled it. A passenger on the Wilderness Legacy reported learning that Zuckerberg’s yacht had been contacted by the Coast Guard without responding. A spokesperson for the Meta CEO said the crew did not hear the call because they were operating on a different radio channel. Mark Zuckerberg and his family were not on board at the time of the incident.
