ChangXin Memory Technologies (CXMT) has filed a lawsuit against the Pentagon to contest its designation as a « Chinese military company, » a classification first made in January 2025 and reaffirmed in June 2026. This placement on the U.S. Defense Department list under Section 1260H may limit CXMT’s dealings with the U.S. government and defense contractors.
