Curve DAO has appointed yRisk, a two-person automation-focused team, as its new risk provider for crvUSD and Llamalend, replacing LlamaRisk after 536.9 million CRV tokens voted in favor. LlamaRisk had served as Curve’s primary external risk provider since 2021 and is now exclusively focused on Aave. yRisk’s mandate includes collateral evaluations, parameter monitoring, stress period alerts, and biannual public health updates on the protocol’s lending markets. The appointment comes as Curve rolls out Llamalend v2 on Optimism, launched in June 2026 with a 250,000 OP grant to support its deployment. The crvUSD stablecoin has maintained its peg between $0.997 and $1.000 despite recent market volatility.
