The total includes 8,680 drained addresses, with only 192 victims reporting losses totaling 714.81 BTC, representing 40.2% of the stolen amount. The flaw stems from a faulty firmware released on March 17, 2021, with no stolen coins predating that date. The first attack wave caused $70.2 million in damage, draining 61% of funds in just 41 minutes. The remaining 6,890 addresses holding 1,063.76 BTC have no identified owner.
