Cloudflare shares jump after raising forecast on AI spending

Cloudflare reported second-quarter 2025 results beating expectations with revenue of $696.1 million versus the $665.5 million consensus, and adjusted EPS of $0.29 exceeding the $0.27 forecast. The company raised its fiscal 2026 outlook to $2.86 billion to $2.87 billion in revenue and $1.25 to $1.26 in adjusted EPS. For the first time, non-human traffic from bots, AI agents, and machine-to-machine systems crossed 50 percent of total platform traffic, with Cloudflare Radar estimating approximately 57 percent. In response to this shift, Cloudflare cut approximately 20 percent of its workforce, more than 1,100 jobs, to align with this new operational model. Shares jumped 16 to 18 percent in after-hours and pre-market trading on August 6 and 7.
