Cloudflare launched Kitesurf, a cloud-hosted browser designed exclusively for AI agents. It runs on Cloudflare Workers using V8 isolates, is built with Rust and WebAssembly, and consumes 3 to 7 times less CPU and memory than Chromium for common automation tasks. The browser has already passed over 215,000 Web Platform Tests, supports Chrome DevTools Protocol for seamless integration with existing tools, and includes built-in protections against prompt injection. Kitesurf is available for free during its beta phase as part of Cloudflare’s Browser Rendering service.
