Circle has renewed its agreement with Coinbase for another three-year term, keeping the USDC payout economics in place. The contract introduces two distinct remedy mechanisms: a product support failure triggers a 60-day cure window, while a reseller failure offers 90 days. Even after an exclusion decision, Coinbase may continue receiving the affected payments for up to 12 months. The figures highlight the importance of this commercial relationship: Coinbase held an average of $20 billion in USDC across its products in the second quarter, representing more than 30% of the total circulation of $73.3 billion reported by Circle as of June 30.
