China’s National Bureau of Statistics has changed the release time for July 2026 economic indicators to 3 p.m. Beijing time on Monday. This unusual move places the data squarely into the afternoon trading window for Asian markets, mid-session for European markets, and pre-market for US traders. The release will cover industrial production, retail sales, and fixed-asset investment. Recent data already showed producer prices easing to a three-month low of 3.5% in July, while consumer inflation also cooled. This combination could strengthen the case for the People’s Bank of China to loosen monetary policy further.
