These awards, drawn from the Customer Protection Fund, reward individuals who helped uncover fraud in commodity and futures markets. The largest single payout in the program’s history remains a nearly $200 million award in 2021, tied to the LIBOR manipulation scandal. In fiscal year 2024, the CFTC distributed approximately $42 million across 12 separate awards.
