Cash App, Block’s mobile payment service, has launched Auto Invest, a feature enabling fee-free recurring Bitcoin purchases with daily, weekly, or monthly options starting at $1. Purchases can be automatically routed to a Bitkey hardware wallet for self-custody, with no withdrawal fees and completed within 24 hours, subject to a minimum of 100,000 satoshis and daily and weekly limits of $10,000 and $25,000 respectively. Cash App maintains a 1:1 Bitcoin reserve ratio and does not lend out user assets, while also offering 5% Bitcoin Back rewards and Lightning Network support for faster transactions. Block also unveiled a new version of the Bitkey hardware wallet featuring a screen, addressing a common user request.
