Crypto venture capital recorded its weakest month in six years in June 2025, with only 61 funding rounds against 89 in May, a 31.5% decline. The amount raised reached 1.44 billion dollars, proving that capital has not dried up but is concentrating on a limited number of mature deals. Active investors fell to 651 in the second quarter, down from 2,564 at the 2022 peak, a 75% drop. Paradigm simultaneously closed a 1.2 billion dollar fund, expanding its scope to artificial intelligence and robotics beyond crypto alone.
