This 6.4 billion dollar project, spanning 2.4 kilometers with six lanes, offers an alternative to the Ambassador Bridge, which had been the only crossing for commercial trucks for nearly a century. Over 70% of Canada’s exports go to the United States, and Detroit is the top border crossing for truck traffic between the two countries.
