Bybit reported that its AI-powered security systems prevented more than $700 million in potential losses during the first half of 2026. The crypto exchange, which lost $1.46 billion in the February 2025 hack attributed to North Korea’s Lazarus Group, blocked over 30,000 suspicious withdrawal attempts and protected nearly 20,000 users. Vulnerability assessment times were reduced from two weeks to just two hours using automated auditing tools. Over 100,000 security alerts were processed during the period, with AI-assisted analysis identifying high-severity vulnerabilities at three to five times the rate of manual review. Bybit has filed legal proceedings in US courts against the individuals behind the February 2025 attack.
