Boeing misses EPS estimates but revenue beats as free cash flow turns positive

Boeing reported mixed Q2 2026 earnings, missing EPS estimates while beating on revenue and delivering positive free cash flow. Analysts had projected an EPS of roughly -$0.24 against revenue of around $24 billion, which the company surpassed. The positive free cash flow marks a significant turnaround from Q1 2026, which showed a core loss per share of -$0.20 and negative free cash flow of $1.5 billion. Boeing is targeting full-year 2026 positive free cash flow in the range of $1 billion to $3 billion, supported by a backlog exceeding $680 billion. The company benefited from 14% year-over-year revenue growth in Q1, driven by commercial aviation orders and defense spending increases across NATO countries.
