Bluesky’s AI assistant Attie, launched at the ATmosphere conference on March 28, has significantly evolved. From a custom feed builder, it has become a full research assistant capable of querying news, trends, and conversations across the entire AT Protocol ecosystem. Upon launch, Attie recorded over 125,000 blocks, becoming the second-most blocked account on the network, reflecting decentralized users’ skepticism toward AI tools in their environment. The assistant operates as an optional standalone app and is powered by Anthropic’s Claude model. The AT Protocol relies on a federated architecture rather than blockchain, offering a vision of decentralization without crypto infrastructure, unlike projects such as Lens Protocol or Farcaster.
