BitGo completed the acquisition of NYDIG’s institutional trading business on August 27, absorbing its derivatives, structured products, financing, and capital markets capabilities. Approximately 30 employees from NYDIG’s trading unit moved to BitGo as part of the deal, with financial terms not disclosed. BitGo, listed on the NYSE under ticker BTGO after raising roughly $213 million in an IPO earlier in 2026, is strengthening its service offerings for institutional investors by providing an integrated custody, trading, and financing solution. NYDIG, on the other hand, is pivoting toward power generation and computing infrastructure, with a development pipeline exceeding 3 gigawatts, of which over 1 GW is expected to become operational between 2027 and 2028.
