According to K33 Research, Bitcoin perpetual futures recorded approximately $1.1 billion in short liquidations in a single day, surpassing previous peaks of $757 million in May 2021 and $694 million in November 2025. Total crypto liquidations reached $1.92 billion over 24 hours, with short positions accounting for $1.74 billion. The largest individual liquidation was a roughly $48.8 million BTC-USD position on Hyperliquid. The rally coincided with a sharp rise in U.S. long-term Treasury yields, with the 30-year yield climbing to roughly 5.34%, its highest level since 2007.
