Bitcoin hit $81,282 Thursday morning in New York, a nearly 3% increase over 24 hours. Over the past 30 days, the price of bitcoin has surged over 23%, driven by positive regulatory news and an announcement from the U.S. Treasury Department regarding debt buybacks. Stocks of bitcoin-related companies rose even faster: Strategy (MSTR) gained over 13%, Coinbase (COIN) over 11%, while miners like HIVE Digital, MARA and CleanSpark posted gains ranging from 9% to 13%. Bitcoin ETFs attracted over $2.8 billion in inflows over the week, their largest since October. Bitcoin remains nonetheless nearly 40% below its record of $126,080 reached in October.
