These operations are connected to 10 data center moratoria, one permanent ban, and four scrapped proposals. The influence is exerted primarily through CCP-affiliated state media and a network of organizations funded by Neville Roy Singham. The Bitcoin Policy Institute justifies its interest in AI infrastructure through the shared need for cheap energy between cryptocurrency mining and data centers.
