Bitcoin dips to $78.4K as Fed’s Warsh downplays softer inflation prints

Bitcoin dropped to $78,442 on Bitstamp during volatile trading conditions following Federal Reserve Chair Kevin Warsh’s keynote speech at the Jackson Hole symposium. Warsh stated he saw no trend change in inflation despite recent lower-than-expected PCE and CPI prints. BTC is up 26.35% month-to-date, marking its best August performance since 2017. The S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite each rose around 0.5% after Warsh’s remarks.
