Russia’s central bank on Monday published draft regulations to integrate cryptocurrencies into its organized trading systems. Crypto exchanges must now report digital assets using the same processes already in place for traditional currencies and securities. These new rules come as the State Duma prepares comprehensive crypto regulation. While cryptocurrency has been illegal as a form of payment in Russia since 2022, its use for international settlements was legalized in 2023.
