The 2026 Asian Games in Nagoya, Japan, will feature 11 esports medal events, a more than 50% increase from the seven events contested at the 2023 Hangzhou edition. Competitions will run from September 23 to October 2 at the Aichi International Exhibition Center in Tokoname, within the broader Games window of September 19 to October 4, 2026. The Olympic Council of Asia formalized the expansion during its executive board meeting in February 2025 in Harbin, China. Confirmed titles include Street Fighter Series, Tekken Series, League of Legends, PUBG Mobile, and Pokemon UNITE, spanning 13 gaming titles across 11 medal events. Esports, which progressed from demonstration sport in 2018 to full medal status in 2023, continues to cement its position within the continental sporting movement.
