Analyst Denis Liu, known as VirtualBacon on X, compared altcoin prices on two dates when Bitcoin was trading at the same level, around 78,300 dollars. The analysis reveals that most major cryptocurrencies barely moved: Ethereum dropped 1%, XRP fell 2%, Dogecoin declined 2%, Tron lost 1%, and Cardano was down 3%. Among the exceptions, Solana gained 10%, BNB rose 9%, and Chainlink climbed 5%. According to the trader, six of the nine largest altcoins are within a few percentage points of their August 22 levels, suggesting they are still following Bitcoin’s movement rather than leading it.
