Apple stock sinks as hopes that new CEO John Ternus will launch a high-end, ‘all-glass’ iPhone are shattered

Apple stock fell 1.53% yesterday and a further 0.23% overnight after Jefferies analysts announced the cancellation of the all-glass iPhone, originally scheduled for September 2027 with an expected price of $2,060. This cancellation represents a major setback for Apple’s efforts to bring higher-priced iPhones to market amid soaring memory costs. The California-based company, currently transitioning leadership from Tim Cook to John Ternus, still plans to launch a glass-centric version of the phone in 2027, while the foldable iPhone is expected to become the sole key driver of higher average selling price and margins.
