Apple is set to unveil its first foldable phone at a major event, the first to be led by new CEO John Ternus, who took over on September 1. The event is also expected to showcase iPhone 18 Pro models, Apple Watch Series 12, AirPods 5, and updates to MacBook and home products. Apple’s foldable phone is expected to cost around $2,000, comparable to Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold8 (starting at $1,899.99) and Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra (starting at $2,099.99). The standard iPhone 18 base model is not expected until spring 2027, according to Bank of America. Roughly half of Apple’s revenue comes from iPhone sales.
