Anthropic announced on Tuesday that its AI Claude has identified new weaknesses in two encryption systems. Encryption is the mathematical method that protects messages, logins and banking details from prying eyes. No currently used system is at immediate risk. The notable aspect of this discovery is that a machine successfully detected vulnerabilities that top human experts had failed to identify.
