Anthropic is planning an IPO in October with a valuation of $2 trillion or higher, which would make it the most valuable IPO in history, surpassing SpaceX’s $1.77 trillion valuation. To justify this valuation, the company would need to generate between $59 billion and $79 billion in annual profits, comparable to Amazon, Microsoft, or Nvidia. Anthropic has projected its first operating profit for Q2 2026 with revenue of $10.9 billion, but the path to net income profitability remains long. Anthropic’s run-rate revenue reached $74.1 billion according to Marc Benioff, surpassing OpenAI’s $41.3 billion. The company is reportedly in talks to acquire AI startup Decart AI for $6 billion and has deals with Amazon, Google, Broadcom, and SpaceX.
