Aivres acquires US AI chips despite parent company’s blacklisting

The California subsidiary of blacklisted Chinese tech giant Inspur Group has been acquiring and reselling Nvidia’s most advanced AI chips. In November 2025, Aivres Systems sold approximately $100 million worth of 32 server racks equipped with nearly 2,300 GB200 processors to Indonesian telecom operator Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison. The Fremont, California-based company offers AI servers roughly 30% cheaper than comparable Western or Taiwanese offerings. As Aivres itself is not targeted by US restrictions, it continues to collaborate with Nvidia and AMD, exposing a gap in the enforcement of US technology export controls.
