Dunamu partners with Kazakhstan’s Alatau City on digital finance push worth $6B

South Korea’s Dunamu, operator of the Upbit crypto exchange, has signed a memorandum of understanding with Kazakhstan’s Alatau City Administration and Alatau City Bank for a digital finance project estimated at $6 billion. The partnership covers real-world asset tokenization, security token offerings, stablecoins, and digital payment solutions. Alatau City Bank is targeting up to $60 million in tokenization pilots focused on real estate and logistics by the end of 2026. The agreement was signed on September 15-16, 2026 in Seoul during a Korea-Kazakhstan Business Roundtable, coinciding with Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev’s official state visit to South Korea.
