Uniswap’s new StablePair Hook, deployed on Ethereum mainnet on September 10, became the highest-volume pool on the network within just five days. This mechanism dynamically adjusts fees based on price deviation from a reference rate, keeping spreads tight near equilibrium and implementing Dutch auction-style fee decay when the price drifts. Two initial pools were launched, USDC/USDT and USDC/USDG. Uniswap processed $43.4 billion in stablecoin-to-stablecoin swaps during Q2 2026 alone, surpassing the combined volume of the next three largest on-chain trading venues. The first upgradeable dynamic-fee hook from Uniswap, the StablePair Hook can only be deployed by Uniswap Labs through a controlled initialization function.
