A vessel was struck in the Strait of Hormuz by an unknown projectile late Saturday, causing a fire on board, the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations Centre said. Local authorities helped evacuate crew members. A senior Iranian official ruled out any negotiations with the United States until Iran’s terms are met. Iran and Gulf countries will sign an agreement Monday in Muscat on a shipping route through the Strait. Oil prices surged this week, with Brent crude peaking at around $108 per barrel on Thursday.
