Grayscale filed an S-3/A registration statement with the SEC on September 11, 2026 to rename the Grayscale Litecoin Trust as the Grayscale Litecoin Trust ETF, with plans to list shares on NYSE Arca. The trust, which has been trading over-the-counter under the ticker LTCN since January 2018, held approximately 24.25 million shares outstanding with a net asset value of $82.28 million, or roughly $3.39 per share, as of June 30, 2026. The firm has entered into a prime brokerage agreement with Coinbase to facilitate share creation and redemption, while currently charging a 2.5% annual sponsor fee. Assets under management have declined sharply from over $215 million in early 2025 to approximately $82 million by mid-2026, a roughly 62% drop. If approved, the conversion would provide creation and redemption mechanisms to keep the share price aligned with NAV, making Litecoin the third cryptocurrency after Bitcoin and Ethereum to gain a spot ETF structure in the US market.
