Singapore Prime Minister Lawrence Wong will see his annual salary rise from SG$2.2 million to SG$3.6 million ($2.85 million), representing a 64% increase. The adjustment follows 15 years of unchanged ministerial salaries, and Wong has pledged to donate his entire salary increase to charity for five years. His new package is more than four times that of the Swiss president and seven times the $400,000 salary paid to the U.S. president. Wong alone earns more than the combined statutory pay of the leaders of the United States, Switzerland, Australia, Canada, South Korea and New Zealand.
