Dogecoin (DOGE) is now accessible on the Solana blockchain through the Sunrise protocol, a cross-chain liquidity gateway associated with Wormhole infrastructure, as of September 7th. The token generated over $10 million in trading volume on Solana within three hours of launch, reaching $19 million within 24 hours. This integration allows DOGE users to access Solana DeFi applications, including Raydium, Jupiter, and Kamino, without having to go through the multi-step bridging process manually. However, DOGE’s price saw a modest drop to $0.08915 at press time, while Solana’s memecoin market cap stood at $3.69 billion, down 3.4% over 24 hours. DOGE remains up 27.2% over the past month, while Solana posted a strong 41% rally in August.
