A British investor identified as Chris has recovered all 61 BTC he lost access to more than 12 years ago after the collapse of the UK exchange Intersango. The holdings are worth roughly £3.3 million, compared to his original £1,500 investment made in 2011 when Bitcoin traded at around £2.94 per coin. CEL Solicitors handled the claim from January 2026 through settlement on May 28, roughly four months later, assembling historical bank statements, emails, exchange records and documents prepared for US court proceedings. The firm has traced more than 5,500 BTC connected to former Intersango users, though each claimant must establish ownership of their specific holdings.
