Kamino launches ZEC-backed borrowing on Solana, letting users borrow USDC against Zcash

Share

Kamino Finance has launched a borrowing market on Solana accepting ZEC, the bridged version of Zcash, as collateral. Users can deposit ZEC to borrow USDC, with the option to amplify their exposure through the Multiply product which loops positions to create leverage. ZEC is routed to Solana via NEAR Intents and OmniBridge bridges, and the ZEC market is isolated in its own pool to contain volatility risks without affecting the main markets. This initiative is part of a broader expansion toward non-native and real-world assets, following the similar launch of a PAXG (tokenized gold) market in July 2026. Kamino’s lending platform manages several billion dollars in aggregate market size, although specific figures for the ZEC market have not been disclosed.
