The previous bitcoin bull run, which took place between November 2022 and October 2025, was characterized by a complete absence of an altcoin season. According to analyst Vincent Ganne, BTC’s bear market would already be over since July 1, 2025 at $57,750, as long as the price remains above its 200-day moving average, currently around $70,000. The next major bull cycle, expected mainly in 2027 and 2028, could however see an altcoin season. Two charts, one absolute on the OTHERS index and the other on the OTHERS/BTC ratio, indicate that altcoins are on a long-term support zone with a bullish reversal forming, a configuration similar to the beginnings of the altcoin seasons in 2017 and 2021.
