China dominates the global market with approximately 95% of worldwide humanoid robot shipments in 2025, giving it a significant industrial advantage for defense projects. norinco, China’s state-owned defense group, unveiled the Fuxi humanoid robot in August 2026, designed for reconnaissance and remote operations. However, no armed humanoid robots are currently deployed in operational Chinese units, with energy consumption and reliability constraints in dynamic environments remaining major obstacles.
