Unitree Robotics and other Chinese manufacturers are offering humanoid robots at prices once reserved for luxury goods. Unitree’s R1 model launched at 39,900 yuan, approximately $5,900, in July 2025, representing a reduction of more than half compared to previous models sold between $13,500 and $16,000. Noetix Robotics launched the Bumi at 9,998 yuan, roughly $1,380, in late 2025, with rapid sales on JD.com. In 2025, Chinese manufacturers delivered over 14,000 humanoid robots, including more than 5,000 units each from Unitree and AGIBot, accounting for the bulk of global humanoid robot shipments. These accessible prices primarily target developers, researchers, and educators rather than households.
