Former Ripple Devs Reveal Critical Red Flags as 4,000 XRP Ledger Wallets Are Affected

On September 3, 2026, approximately 4,000 XRP Ledger wallets were drained within three hours during an attack targeting XRP Healthcare, formerly known as XRPayNet. Attackers stole roughly 267,000 XRP along with millions of related tokens, which were quickly transferred to the Ethereum network. Forensic analysis uncovered a critical bug: users’ private seed phrases were being sent to a server when staking features were activated. Former Ripple developers had previously flagged red flags, accusing the project’s creators of lying about partnerships to secure funding and having Uganda-linked connections. The affected team confirmed the hack and stated that developers are conducting an urgent investigation to trace the transactions and coordinate with authorities to recover the stolen assets.
