German forward Kai Havertz scored his second Premier League goal of the 2026-27 season on September 2 as Arsenal defeated Coventry City 3-0. He had previously scored against the same opposition on August 21 in another 3-0 victory, as well as in the FA Community Shield against Manchester City on August 16. All three matches ended with an identical 3-0 scoreline. The 27-year-old, who joined Arsenal from Chelsea in 2023, has become a cornerstone of the Gunners’ attack after netting 13 goals during the 2024-25 Premier League campaign. Arsenal are scheduled to face Chelsea on September 6, giving Havertz an opportunity to score against his former club.
