Bitcoin moves 600 BTC after 16 years of dormancy

Blockchain tracking service Whale Alert identified the movement of 600 BTC across 12 mining block rewards of 50 BTC each, accumulated since around 2010. These coins, now worth tens of millions of dollars at current prices, belong to anonymous miners and not to Satoshi Nakamoto. The funds were transferred to new cold wallets with no known exchange affiliation, suggesting consolidation rather than intent to sell. A similar transfer occurred on September 6 when 350 BTC were moved from early miner addresses, valued at approximately 28 million dollars. These dormant coin movements, though not necessarily indicating a sale, carry psychological weight on the market due to the potential for zero-cost holders to begin selling.
